Amazon Prime Day Sale reduces ‘must-have’ cruise items

Amazon has launched its latest Prime Day sale of 2023, dubbed its Big Deals Day, and with it has reduced a number of travel accessories perfect for your next cruise holiday. Many of the items currently on sale have been recommended by avid cruise fans, who have even said that select items can “upgrade” your cabin and boost your experience on board.
However, as is always the case with Prime Days, deals run for a limited time, with the latest deal coming to an end at 11.59pm tonight (October 11, 2023).
As well as a huge range of luggage on sale, Amazon has also discounted items which can come in handy for storing your belongings around your cruise cabin or keeping your items in place around the pool.

Magnetic hooks are often recommended by cruise holidaymakers, and right now you can snap up a pack of 10 for £6.39.
Posting to a Reddit forum dedicated to “must haves on a cruise”, commenters were quick to recommend magnetic hooks. A commenter posting under the username Dry-Student5673 said: “Magnetic hooks – thanks to this group for the tip!! I brought like 10 and used them all! Hanging bathing suits, towels, jewellery, hats…It was so useful!!”
Similarly, Caroline Costello, an expert and contributor for Cruise Critic, explained: “On a cruise, magnetic hooks and door magnets offer an easy, affordable way to engineer a DIY cabin upgrade. Typically, staterooms are seriously lacking hooks, which happen to be the best places for soggy swimsuits and towels.
“You might get a pair or two in your cabin, but that’s likely not enough for all your bikinis, bags, hats and coats. So pack your own strong magnetic hooks.”
Amazon has also reduced towel clips, which are another essential cruise guests have recommended for those hoping to while away the days at sea by the on-deck swimming pool.
Towel clips and towel bands are both often brought onboard by cruise guests, to keep their towels attached to their sunbeds when they aren’t in use. The last thing you want is to take a dip in the pool, only to see your towel blow away.
Currently, Amazon has select towel clips reduced by up to 20 percent.
Best Amazon Prime Day deals for cruises

Best Amazon Prime Day luggage deals
Amazon also has a number of luggage items on sale right now, including those which are approved by popular UK airlines both as hand luggage and hold luggage
Whether you’re travelling for work or simply like to take your tech wherever you go, the Samsonite Guardit laptop bag is a great, safe way to transport your prized possession. Measuring 29 x 18 x 40 cm it can also be used as hand luggage with British Airways and Jet2.
This large Bon Air spinner suitcase from American Tourister has been slashed by 50%, down from £179 to a purse-friendly £89.90. The suitcase measures 54 x 29 x 75cm so is a great option to use as hold luggage on your travels.
This small four-wheel suitcase can be used as a large cabin bag by easyJet and as a standard cabin bag when travelling with British Airways or Jet2, measuring 35 x 20 x 55cm. For Prime Day, Samsonite has slashed the price of this bag by 42%.
This golden yellow suitcase expands to reach 55 x 40 x 23cm, making it a great option to use as hold luggage. For a limited time, Samsonite has slashed the price by 40%.
American Tourister has slashed the price of its Urban Track two-wheel travel bag by 20%. The double-decker construction and compression straps make for easy packing. Measuring 44 x 43 x 78.5 cm this item can be used as hold luggage with most travel providers.
Samsonite has reduced the price of its S’Cure Spinner suitcase by a fantastic 44%. With an extendable handle and four wheels, this is an easy, medium-sized luggage item to transport through the airport.
When does the sale end?
Despite what the name suggests, Amazon Prime’s Big Deal Day actually lasts for two days. The sale begins on Tuesday, October 10 at 12.01am and ends on Wednesday, October 11, at 11.59pm. However, not all Prime deals are available during the full two days.
Over the course of the 48-hour period, Amazon will roll out fresh deals on its website. Lightning Deals are only available for a limited amount of time, with the discount coming to an end after a set amount of time or once a certain amount of stock is sold.
Amazon also offers Deals Of The Day which will be available on only one of the two days.
With that said, some Amazon deals are on the website right now – and aren’t just exclusive to Prime customers. This is because Amazon offers discounts and deals on certain products throughout the year. So, even if you miss the Amazon Prime Big Deal Day sale, there are still deals to be found!
