With the start of the year, travelers looking to plan their 2019 trips have an even greater incentive on Jan. 29. 2019, which is National Plan for Vacation Day.
The day, which is celebrated on the last Tuesday of January each year, was launched by the U.S. Travel Association’s Project: Time Off initiative as a way to encourage Americans to plan time off and make the most of vacation days throughout the year.
Americans leave some 705 million vacation days unused each year, according to the U.S. Travel Association, which is why various booking engines, tour operators, and hotels are offering discounts to make it easier for travelers to make the most of their time off.
