Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts is making its Europe debut
this summer with the opening of the new Angsana Corfu in Greece.
Scheduled to begin welcoming guests July 10, the Angsana
Corfu is located near the village of Benitses, perched on a cliff edge overlooking the Ionian Sea.
The resort features 199 rooms — a mix of grand rooms,
junior suites, suites and private pool villas that range in size from one to
The property will have a culinary focus, with five
restaurants and six lounges. Angsana Corfu’s fine-dining concept, Botrini’s,
will be helmed by Michelin-star chef Ettore Botrini and serve
Mediterranean-style cuisine. Additional venues are Corfu, which will serve
Greek favorites, and Ruen Romsai with an international menu. A juice bar will serve
fresh juices, fruit, Greek yogurt and energy smoothies.
Guests also will be able to opt for “destination dining”
experiences, such as a mountain picnic or a romantic beach dinner for two, as well
as cooking classes led by the property’s culinary team.
The Angsana Corfu will also feature a spacious spa and gym,
offering over 50 spa treatments and wellness programs focusing on yoga,
fitness, vitality and healthy living. Other amenity highlights include an
outdoor and indoor pool, an outdoor yoga pavilion, meeting facilities and a
kids’ club with pool.
Rooms at the Angsana Corfu will start at around $250 a night
during low season (November to March).
