Toy Story fans may want to start planning a trip to Japan in 2021.
Today, Oriental Land Co., Ltd announced that a Toy Story-inspired hotel will be coming to the Tokyo Disney Resort in about three years.
The 600-room property (which has yet-to-be-named) will provide guests with an opportunity to dive into a toy-sized world in every area of the hotel from the gardens to the exterior design. Rooms will look like Andy’s bedroom and feature furniture and amenities inspired by the world of Woody and Buzz.
There will also be a reasonably-priced restaurant and a Disney shop on-site.
In their press release, Oriental Land Co., Ltd. shared a background story for the hotel:
“Andy, the little boy who loves his toys – Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest – has embarked on the ultimate backyard project: a building to house all his toys. When Andy is called away by his mom, his toys and their helpers take over the “toy” tower and open it as a hotel for all the “honorary” toys of the world.”
Earlier this year, Oriental Land Co., Ltd announced that they were investing $2.3 billion into a massive expansion of Tokyo DisneySea.
