Kwando Safaris has opened its newest camp, 4 Rivers, located in the Kwara Reserve, the second-largest private reserve in Botswana. The camp, which borders the Moremi Game Reserve, provides an added safe zone for the wildlife moving between the Kwara and Moremi reserves.

The camp operates entirely on solar power and is located just a 15-minute drive from its private airstrip. A variety of activities are offered to guests, including game drives, night drives, walking safaris and the use of mokoros, a canoe-like watercraft, when river conditions permit it.

Tucked away amid ancient woodland, where it is the only safari camp in the vicinity, 4 Rivers overlooks a small, permanent lagoon and Maboa Island. The camp features nine spacious Meru tents, all of which include a family room and are perched on raised wooden decks. All tents are equipped with indoor and outdoor showers, catering to guests of age 6 and above. Private game-drive vehicles will also be at guests’ disposal.

The camp’s communal area includes a bar, a dining room, a curio shop and a selection of intimate lounge areas, enabling guests to indulge in the tranquillity of the Okavango Delta.
