There’s a suitcase that Jana Frawley, the Content Direct at Escape, absolutely swears by.
It’s not one of the fancy expensive suitcases she has tried through the course of her career as a travel editor. It’s a $90 suitcase she bought from Aldi.
“The cult-like devotion travellers have to their Aldi luggage was the only selling point I needed when I needed new suitcases,” Ms Frawley said.
“It was four years ago and I got a black, soft, medium-sized and carry-on wheelies suitcase with TSA-approved locks. It is the smartest $90 I ever spent, and given the number of trips I do and the punishment my luggage gets, it’s the best luggage I’ve ever had.”

The good news is that very same suitcase is returning to Aldi this week, as part of the supermarket chain’s “Travel in Style” Special Buys (in store Wednesday, June 9).
