American Cruise Lines will sail a California coastal/river cruise: Travel Weekly

American Cruise Lines will sail its first river cruise in California. 

The small-ship line’s eight-day San Francisco Bay cruise kicks off in the Golden Gate City, sailing the San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, the Napa River and the San Joaquin River. 

American Cruise Lines will operate four San Francisco Bay cruises on the 190-passenger American Jazz, departing in February and March.

The cruise will take guests on a unique experience through Northern California’s wine country and provide a look into the region’s historical, cultural, geographical and agricultural elements.

Experiences onboard will include sailing past the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Treasure Island, along with visits to Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and Alcatraz. 

There also will be a Napa Valley wine experience, a NASCAR-style driving experience at the Stockton 99 Speedway, a guided tour of Old Sacramento’s underground city and port, plus a visit to the California Railroad Museum.

Prices start at $6,095 per person.
