American Queen Steamboat Company will feature more of Nashville next year
Guests looking to cruise through Music City will be pleased with American Queen Steamboat Company’s 2022 lineup of special sailings and pre- and post-cruise city stays featuring Nashville.
Available on several departures next year is the Nashville Music City Stay Package, which features a two-night stay at the Peabody and Gaylord Opryland hotels, as well as passes to the Grand Ole Opry and early access to Graceland Mansion for an extensive Elvis tour.
The Nashville extension can be added on to seven of the line’s cruises in 2022 that call in Clarksville, Tenn., the company’s port for Nashville about 50 miles outside the city center.

Meanwhile, two Nashville sailings dubbed the Star-Spangled Cruise will mark Independence Day with departures on American Countess (June 28, Louisville, Ky., to Clarksville) and American Queen (July 4, Memphis to Clarksville). American country music singer-songwriter Lee Greenwood will perform onboard the Countess and the Queen. (A third Star-Spangled Cruise, on the American Duchess, operates from Memphis to Louisville.)
Two departure dates next August will feature a groovy ’70s theme for passengers rolling onboard the American Duchess: from Nashville to Louisville on Aug. 13 and Nashville to Alton, Ill., the port for St. Louis, on Aug. 27. A complimentary pre-cruise hotel stay is included before embarking in Clarksville. Guests can expect decade-appropriate theme parties and music.
Bourbon fans will enjoy a special sailing of the American Duchess on Aug. 20 from Louisville to Clarksville with tastings and tours.
“With demand for our close-to-home offerings still on the rise, expanding our offerings that celebrate the many dynamic U.S. river cities we visit, like Nashville, was a natural next step in ensuring we are meeting the interests of our guests,” said Shawn Bierdz, president of American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise Lines.
Fares start from $1,399 per person. AQSC is currently running a fall sale with savings up to $2,000 per stateroom. Guests who book a sailing that departs by March 31 will have the ability to move to another 2021 or 2022 voyage up to 21 days prior to the departure without penalty.
