Celebrity Cruises redeploys the Millennium: Travel Weekly

With the Celebrity Solstice being redeployed from Asia to the U.S. West Coast this fall, Celebrity Cruises has decided to move the Celebrity Millennium from the West Coast to the Caribbean.

The Millennium will sail seven-night Caribbean cruises from October to December 2022. Celebrity said the 2,218-guest ship will call at St. Thomas, Barbados and Nassau, Bahamas.

The Millennium will also sail a 15-night itinerary out of San Diego that will include passage through the Panama Canal en route to San Juan.

While announcing the Millennium move, Celebrity also has released details on updated itineraries for the Solstice, which is now sailing the Mexican Riviera from September through April 2023.

Last week, Celebrity announced it had canceled its Asia sailing season on the Solstice, citing uncertainty over port access as the pandemic lingers.

The Solstice will now sail five-, seven- and eight-night itineraries from Los Angles visiting Mexican ports in Puerto Vallarta, Ensenada, Mazatlán and, on some itineraries, Cabo San Lucas.

The 2,850-guest Solstice will also offer five itineraries up and down the West Coast from Ensenada to Vancouver, with stops in San Francisco, Catalina Island and Monterey, Calif.
