Cruise holidays around the UK are being offered by a number of cruise lines this summer when international travel starts up from May 17. Cunard, Fred Olsen, Hurtigruten, MSC Cruises, Noble Caledonia, Princess, P&O, Saga and Viking are all providing domestic sailings. Which? Travel has today highlighted which are the best cruise lines offering UK trips in 2021 in the latest cruise news.
Hurtigruten, Noble Caledonia, Saga and Viking were shown to be the best cruise lines for the summer, according to Which? research.
All four have domestic voyages scheduled to sail in June or July.
What’s more, they are all Which? Recommended Providers (WRPs), as identified in the consumer brand’s latest ocean cruise survey.
Customers with Hurtigruten, Noble Caledonia, Saga and Viking are also refunded in 28 days or less if their cruise is cancelled as a result of Covid.
Viking Ocean Cruises
Viking scored an impressive 93 percent.
The cruise line earned five stars in all Which? reviews and is therefore highly recommended.
Viking is currently offering an eight-day ocean itinerary – England’s Scenic Shores – which will sail roundtrip from Portsmouth, with departures on May 22, May 29 and June 5, 2021.
Guests will be among the first to sail onboard Viking’s newest ocean ship, Viking Venus, which will be delivered in April.
These sailings are sold out but cabins may still come available if others cancel so it’s worth keeping an eye out.
Saga Ocean Cruises
Saga was given a score of 88 percent.
The cruise company received full marks in multiple areas of Which’s survey, including customer-to-space ratio and food and drink.
Saga’s Spirit of Discovery will sail from June 27 and Spirit of Adventure on July 26.
Its UK cruises include a Scottish Islands and Highlands itinerary, which visits Invergordon and Lerwick.
It’s worth noting that passengers must have had both their Covid vaccines to sail and Saga does not offer a flexibility promise.
Hurtigruten Ocean Cruises
Hurtigruten scored 85 percent.
The line is offering a 15-day sailing from Dover to Stornoway.
It ranks highly for passenger-to-space ratio, value for money and how well the cruise description matches reality
Noble Caledonia Ocean Cruises
Noble Caledonia got a score of 84 percent.
The cruise company is offering 40 UK tours and cruises, including nine voyages departing in June 2021.
It has earned top marks passenger-to-space ratio thanks to its ships carrying between 36 and 250 guests.
The social atmosphere on board, the quality of customer service and port excursions also ranked highly.
Passengers must be vaccinated against Covid and be aware there is no flexibility policy.
