Explora Journeys' maiden voyage is pushed back: Travel Weekly

Explora Journeys has pushed back the maiden voyage for its first ship, the Explora I.

The 922-passenger ship is now scheduled to sail on July 17 from Southampton, England; it had been set to debut in May.

CEO Michael Ungerer, CEO of the company, blamed the delay on global supply chain issues. Explora I is the first of four ships for the new MSC Group luxury brand and is being built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. Its sister ship, the Explora II, is due out in the summer of 2024.
