Jack Anderson will return to Crystal Cruises under new owners: Travel Weekly
Former Crystal Cruises president and CEO Jack Anderson told Travel Weekly that he will resume his leadership role at the rebooted cruise line under the ownership of Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group.
He said he began consulting with Heritage Group chairman Manfredi Lefebvre D’Ovidio and A&K Travel Group CEO Cristina Levis when Crystal’s parent company, Genting Hong Kong, filed for liquidation in January. The cruise company ceased operations in February.
Anderson said he will report to Levis, who will oversee Crystal Cruises. A&K Travel Group has acquired the cruise line’s brand name, guest list and its two oceangoing ships, the Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony. For now, Anderson remains an independent consultant, he said.
Anderson became president and CEO of Crystal Cruises in October of 2020 and served until the line shuttered in February. He had also served as Crystal’s senior vice president for worldwide marketing and sales and vice chairman.
Previously, he worked for Seabourn, Carnival Corp., Holland America Line and Windstar.
