MSC Cruises drops Covid vaccination rule for guests departing U.S. ports: Travel Weekly

MSC Cruises on Sept. 1 will no longer require U.S. residents to be vaccinated against Covid-19 on cruises departing from U.S. ports to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. 

While no longer required, MSC recommends that passengers are fully vaccinated.

Precruise testing is recommended but not required for travelers who are fully vaccinated. Unvaccinated guests are required to show proof of a negative Covid-19 viral test (NAAT or antigen) taken within three days of embarkation. Guests under the age of 2 are exempt from testing requirements.

Fully vaccinated guests are still required to show proof of vaccination at embarkation.

For non-U.S. residents, MSC requires full vaccination for guests 12 years and older. Regardless of vaccination status, guests 2 years and older must provide proof of a negative Covid-19 viral test (NAAT or antigen) taken within three days of embarkation. Guests under the age of 2 are exempt from testing requirements.
