Storylines is currently building a residential cruise ship to allow people to sell up and live permanently at sea. The ship will start to travel the world nonstop in 2025.
Storylines says that guests will live a “luxury global lifestyle” onboard the exclusive ship.
The ship will have restaurants and bars serving international cuisine as well as an ice-cream shop.
Residents can also stay at home and order food from the ship’s 24 hour menu. They can also access the culinary atrium to cook.
The ship will also include a state of the art wellness centre and spa where guests can enjoy massages and exercise.
Storylines will also offer residents a cinema, a hydroponic garden, a micro brewery and a huge library.
But life at sea doesn’t come cheap with prices starting at around £527,000 for a small studio onboard.
Guests in the studio accommodation will have a fold–up bed, bar area, computer desk and full size closet.
They will also have a virtual window which will display different views from around the ship.
At the other end of the scale, the most extravagant accommodation boasts three bedrooms and a kitchenette.
Residents in the Encore accommodation will have a dining area for six people and a huge waterfront master bedroom.
The master bedroom includes a walk-in closet while guests will also be able to access a huge balcony.
Prices for the most expensive apartment start at $4.6million (£4million) making the lifestyle only possible for a lucky few.
Residents will travel the world on the ship, making stops at many of the globe’s most popular cruise ports.
A sample three-month itinerary explores Italy, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece and Turkey.
Residents will usually have about three nights in each port, giving them time to explore a destination.
At some points, guests will be given the chance to choose their next destination and design their own itinerary.
The average age range onboard is between 50-60 but some residents include families and retirees.
Children will be able to access family-friendly facilities onboard and will be offered youth education programs.
The ship will have a Chief Security Officer in case there are any problems onboard and security will be on call 24/7.
According to Storylines’ vice president of marketing, some floor plans are already almost completely sold out.
