Swan Hellenic names new North America sales chief

The relaunched U.K.-based Swan Hellenic cruise line named Lori Sheller vice president of sales and marketing for North America.

Sheller will join the company effective immediately, reporting directly to Alfredo Spadon, Swan’s senior vice president of global sales and marketing.

Sheller was most recently senior vice president of strategic sales at MSC Cruises USA. Prior to that, she spent 18 years in the trade, with Tourico Holidays and Online Vacation Center.

She replaced Mitchell Schlesinger as Swan North America’s head of sales.

Swan has ordered three 152-passenger ships from Helsinki Shipyard in Finland. The first ship, the Minerva, is slated to launch in Antarctica in November. Swan Hellenic first launched 70 years ago and ceased operations in 2017 with the collapse of parent company All Leisure Holidays. A team of cruise industry veterans led by Andrea Zito, Swan’s CEO and also formerly of Silversea, purchased the brand in 2020.
