World Travel & Tourism Council to hold next Global Summit in Rwanda
Rwanda will become the first country in Africa to host the World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit, when the event is held in Kigali in 2023.
A date has not been set. Organizers at this year’s summit in Saudi Arabia said it would take place during the second half of the year.

The Rwanda announcement happened at the close of the this year’s summit, which was held in Riyadh for the first time. It was the largest Global Summit with more than 3,000 delegates attending the event.
WTTC CEO Julia Simpson called Rwanda “an amazing country famous for its conservation work.” It is home to the International Gorilla Conservation Programme.
