As an ACADEMY AWARDS® qualifying event, the winners of this year’s Best Short Film and Best Documentary will also be eligible for consideration in the OSCARS® Short Film and OSCARS® Documentary Shorts Award categories.
The 2018 St Kilda Film Festival’s most prestigious title of Best Short Film will see one of four nominees take home a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of the City of Port Phillip. This year’s nominees for Best Short Film are The Intentions of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Lost Property Office, Mrs McCutcheon and Eye Contact.

The St Kilda Film Festival has an incredible variety of films shown in this year’s program. We look forward to revealing the winners of the 35th St Kilda Film Festival awards later this week at the Closing Night event”, Cr Voss said.
The St Kilda Film Festival’s Top 100 Films are judged by a panel of industry professionals, with the 2018 judging panel made up of Edwina Exton, Cassandra Magrath and Neil Pigot.
This year’s winners will be announced at the St Kilda Film Festival’s Closing Night Awards on Saturday 26 May at the St Kilda Town Hall.
