Cruise & Maritime Voyages launches 2020 World Cruise

For those in search of an eternal summer, Cruise & Maritime Voyages Australia today launched its 2020 Grand Round the World Cruise aboard CMV’s flagship, Columbus. Encompassing 37 ports of call, the journey will cover 5 continents and 27 countries over 120 nights.

As with CMV’s other World Cruises, the 2020 voyage makes an iconic maritime journey affordable, but with the style and comfort for which the brand has become known. The ‘Buy one, get one free’ promotion offers guests the opportunity to see the world for as little as AUD$32,399 per cabin or $135 per person, per night twin share. Guests in selected cabins who book by 31 July will also receive over AUD$7,100 worth of added value including reduced or complimentary CMV Additions Value Packages and up to £2,500 per cabin free Onboard Credit.

Columbus will sail from London Tilbury on 6 January 2020 heading westbound for a tour of tropical paradise via the Caribbean, South America, the Panama Canal and across the Pacific Ocean visiting Polynesian Islands, Tonga and Fiji, before heading to New Zealand and Australia.

A relaxing jaunt around the Mediterranean will be the cruise’s grand finale before returning to London on 5 May 2020, just in time for the European summer.

Other highlights of the Grand Round the World Cruise include:

  • crossing the equator and the international date line;

Columbus ship profile

Having previously built an enviable reputation cruising from Australia, Columbus is an ideal vessel for exploring the world. Columbus was purpose-built for deep-sea ocean cruising, ensuring her 1,400 guests travel in complete comfort whether on the open seas or calling into smaller ports. At 64,000 tonnes, she retains a sense of intimacy while offering guests space and a choice of onboard facilities, including six dining options, seven bars and lounges, two expansive pools and an impressive two-tiered show lounge. The ship underwent an extensive refit in August 2015 and was upgraded further in April 2017 before the start of her maiden CMV season.

Columbus has 775 passenger cabins including 64 deluxe balcony cabins and junior suites with private balconies as well as 150 cabins reserved especially for solo travellers.
