Inn on Fifth & Club Level Suites completes renovation

The Inn on Fifth & Club Level Suites downtown Naples has completed a $5 million renovation, once again elevating the guest experience at its landmark buildings on Fifth Avenue (699 5th Avenue South). On Oct. 1, following a bustling four-week closure, the Inn on Fifth proudly reopened its doors on a new chapter of elegant design and enhanced comforts. The renovation included refinements to the hotel’s enchanting rooftop pool courtyard and introduced a new level of sophistication to all 119 guest rooms, with special touches such as porcelain tile flooring, custom quartzite bathroom vanities, contemporary lighting and more.

“Since it was first opened, the Inn on Fifth has had a major influence on the area, becoming a hub for the Naples lifestyle and everything that is new and next,” said Phil McCabe, owner of the Inn on Fifth. “This renovation is just the latest chapter in a story that keeps getting better and we will continue to rewrite the pages of this Naples classic that’s been pleasing visitors and locals for years.”

Known for their stylish furnishings, contemporary design and luxurious bedding, each of the hotel’s 119 spacious, elegantly appointed rooms and suites received several significant upgrades during the renovation. Guest bathrooms have been completely redone and now feature shower curbs, benches and vanity tops of all-natural Brazilian mercury quartzite; contemporary lighting; locally designed custom vanities; and floor-to-ceiling porcelain. Dressed in sleek black frames, all new high-quality ESW® sliding glass doors were installed, providing an ideal blend of form and function. With high impact, sound resistant Optiblue™ tinted glass and ergonomic handles and locks, the new sliding doors let in the Florida sunshine without all the heat and ensure easy access to furnished terraces or Juliet balconies. Guest rooms now also feature the sophisticated beauty of new Swiss™ porcelain tile flooring, which captures the soft veining of natural stone in an elegant porcelain tile.

“The new guest room flooring is a true showstopper,” said McCabe. “Complementing the room décor and other design elements, the floors add to the new timeless design, giving the rooms a more sophisticated and modern feel, from the ground up.”

In addition to guest rooms, the renovation included a thorough reimagining of the hotel’s tropical rooftop pool terrace and courtyard. Large sections of the courtyard have been completely resurfaced using elegant Dignitary ColorBody™ porcelain tile and Siberian Sandstone from Daltile, the nation’s top manufacturer. Turf was also added throughout, adding to the pool deck’s lush landscape and creating green patio space for all guest rooms opening onto the pool and courtyard. Due to its popularity with guests, the poolside gazebo is being replaced with a larger structure now offering more seating and a shady setting to relax and unwind. Topped with a black aluminum rotunda, the gazebo roof incorporates windows to let in as much natural light as possible. Responding to positive input from guests, the hotel has also added a new, permanent outdoor bar in the courtyard, giving quick, convenient, stylish poolside service. Mirroring the style and design of the new gazebo, the covered bar offers seating for 10 guests and will be open seven days a week. The pool area has also been upgraded with plush new chaise lounges featuring blue slings and aluminum frames with built-in cup and cell phone holders.

Apart from the renovation in the original building, stylish hardwood floors have been installed in each of the hotel’s 32 Club Level Suites across Fifth Avenue, dramatically adding to the “wow” factor upon arrival. Manufactured in Spain using 180-year-old hardened French oak, the Sapphire Design flooring is the most exclusive natural wood flooring collection of Rivafloors, a company offering products certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. As the literal foundation of the suites, the new flooring was carefully chosen from the highest quality wood, with strict quality controls to guarantee the pureness of the unique finishes and colors.

“The Inn on Fifth has always stood on our commitment to elegance, design and quality,” added McCabe. “With this new flooring, now our guests can stand on it, too.”

Located in the heart of downtown Naples, the Inn on Fifth features 119 luxurious rooms, including 32 Club Level Suites. The hotel’s enviable location puts guests in the middle of a celebrated collection of award-winning shops and restaurants, including Ocean Prime, Truluck’s Seafood, Steak and Crab House, and the Spa on Fifth, all located at the Inn. Guests can enjoy an easy stroll or take complimentary transportation to the white sand beaches of the emerald Gulf, just a few short blocks from the property.  For more information, visit www.InnonFifth.com.
