Professional Spa Team Tapped to Open Spa Mirbeau at Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck
Mirbeau Hospitality Services has appointed a seasoned team of Spa Mirbeau veterans to lead the world-class spa brand’s newest location, which will debut with the September 2019 opening of Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck. Like its sister spas in Skaneateles, N.Y., and Plymouth, Mass., the new 12,000-square-foot Spa Mirbeau is designed to help resort guests and local residents pursue a life in balance. Spa reservations are now being accepted for September 28 forward at 1-877-MIRBEAU.
Joining the new Rhinebeck property as spa director is Pamela Maes. Previously spa director for the flagship Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Skaneateles, Maes brings seven years of brand experience to her role. She has been a licensed esthetician for more than eight years, and has worked in medical, resort and day spa environments.
Alexis Kerrigan has relocated to Rhinebeck from Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills (Plymouth). The new assistant spa director has been in the health and wellness industry for six years and has a degree in exercise physiology.
As Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck’s lead therapist, Ali Nicholson is focused on improving quality of life through bodywork. Like Maes, she comes to Rhinebeck from the Skaneateles resort. Nicholson has been a license massage therapist for 13 years and has a background in medical massage. She has also worked as a massage instructor in Syracuse.
“Pamela, Alexis and Ali have been hand-picked to lead our new spa not only for the exceptional skills they’ve already demonstrated at our Skaneateles and Plymouth resorts, but for their embodiment of the Spa Mirbeau brand tenets,” said Catherine Dower Sinclair, vice president, spa operations of Mirbeau Hospitality Services. “Working as a team, they’ll ensure a seamless introduction of the Spa Mirbeau experience to the Rhinebeck community next month.”
Serving overnight guests and day spa customers alike, Spa Mirbeau at Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck will feature a European-style resting area with meditation pool; outdoor Aqua Terrace with oversized hot plunge pool, private bar and menu from the resort’s Willow by Charlie Palmer; luxurious locker rooms with eucalyptus-infused steam room and Himalayan salt saunas; and a retail boutique. Within its 11 treatment rooms plus manicure and pedicure suite, spa-goers will have access to a full range of wellness services designed for relaxation and renewal using the newly released Mirbeau Exclusives products line, as well as other top luxury brands. Treatments will include massage, body wraps and scrubs, facials, manicures, pedicures, couple’s treatments and the beloved Mirbeau Kurs. The spa’s state-of-the-art fitness studios will feature the latest exercise equipment and on-trend fitness and yoga classes.
