Mas de Pierre on French Riviera updated — and so is its name

After a year and a half of extensive renovations, the five-star Mas de Pierre hotel in France’s Cote d’Azur region reopened May 3 as the Domaine du Mas de Pierre.

Located between Cannes and Nice, at the foot of the ramparts of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the family-owned Relais & Chateaux property is part of the SFH independent hotel group.

The resort is set in a 20-acre garden with olive and citrus trees and features two new bastides (medieval villas), bringing the total number of accommodations to nine bastides and 76 rooms.

New amenities include a reception area, the gastronomic La Table de Pierre restaurant, the poolside Lis Orto bistro and a 6,560-square-foot spa.

Alice’s House, exclusively reserved for children, features indoor and outdoor play areas, and an on-property lagoon features a sandy beach with palm trees and waterfalls.

The property is open year-round.
