Bermuda and Nevis fill tourism positions

The Nevis Tourism Authority appointed industry veteran Devon Liburd as interim CEO, succeeding Jadine Yarde, who departed the post on Jan. 21.

Liburd served as director of sales and marketing for the authority since 2008, where he oversaw the promotion of Nevis in its source markets, had responsibility for the cruise sector and coordinated a number of on-island events.

Prior to his work with the authority Liburd was a tourism officer for the Nevis Department of Tourism.

Amy Moynihan has been named director of global communications and partnerships for the Bermuda Tourism Authority. She will lead media relations and partnerships from the group’s New York office.

“The BTA is committed to overcoming the challenges posed by the pandemic and will continue to be creative and enterprising in the way we promote all the Bermuda has to offer,” said Douglas Trueblood, chief sales and marketing officer.

“Amy’s experience in the leisure, corporate and group travel sectors, in addition to her extensive marketing experience within the travel and entertainment industries will create and develop more partnership opportunities and introduce new visitors to Bermuda,” he said.
