Club Med Punta Cana refit includes new family rooms, wedding venue

Club Med Punta Cana has opened new and renovated family
rooms, the revitalizing of its main restaurant and a new wedding venue.

The resort has renovated 90 family rooms and added 48 new
Family Superior rooms and 36 Family Deluxe rooms. All the units feature two
bedrooms and are located near the
heart of the resort and its family-friendly amenities. The resort said that the
rooms’ modern design “is combined with decor that reflects the region’s natural
elements, which guests can view from fully furnished balconies or the
open-concept bathrooms with large rain showers, drawing inspiration from the
brand’s Zen Oasis concept that focuses on wellbeing and relaxation.”

The resort’s main restaurant, Hispaniola, has been
redesigned to what the resort describes as a Caribbean-beach bistro that draws
inspiration from Punta Cana’s art, music and culture. The entrance to the oceanfront
eatery has been outfitted with Dominican-inspired decor, brightly colored
elements and trendy and modern light fixtures. The avant garde dining concept
offers global and international cuisine, while a grill station serves up
grilled fish and vegetables, roasted meats from the churrascaria and fresh
seafood from the raw bar. The restaurant also features a wide selection of cheeses,
freshly baked breads and pastries and various dining options for kids.

New destination wedding venue

The resort also unveiled a destination wedding venue,
Grupo Bisutti Club Med Punta Cana, in partnership with Brazil-based wedding
planner Grupo Bisutti. The venue can host up to 250 guests and features a 3,982-square-foot,
covered outdoor terrace for tropical cocktail hours, receptions and ceremonies.

The resort has also renovated its Club Med Spa by L’occitane
salon. The salon will feature a full beauty treatment menu to complement any
wellness or weddings needs onsite.
