Drift Hotels brand debuts in Los Cabos

San Jose del Cabo’s trendy Gallery District has welcomed a new hotel — the first in the brand’s portfolio. Drift San Jose del Cabo is a design-forward, city hotel that is something different for the typical Los Cabos beach scene. Located in the city’s colonial historic center, Drift San Jose del Cabo is about inviting visitors to explore the city side of Los Cabos.

The decor is industrial chic, with 29 rooms that range from 215 to 322 square feet and have names like Surfer’s Hideout, Baja Room, Drift King and Paradise Cove Suite. Some rooms include balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. 

The hotels feature the poolside Mezcal Bar at Drift San Jose. Thursday evenings there’s a taco truck in the courtyard and live music, which will be open to locals and hotel guests. A rooftop terrace has views over the city streets.
