Flamingo Las Vegas marks 75 years with a sweepstakes, special packages

The Flamingo Las Vegas is celebrating its 75th year with a social media sweepstakes and special hotel, spa and wedding packages.

Guests can share a Flamingo-related memory on Twitter or Instagram and tag @FlamingoVegas with the hashtags #75YearsofFab and #Sweepstakes now through Dec. 13. The prize package includes two nights in a suite, a $300 food-and-beverage credit, a $250 spa credit, two show tickets and two tickets to ride the nearby High Roller Observation Wheel.

The Flamingo 75th Anniversary View Room Offer is two nights in a Garden View, City View or High Roller View Room for $75 (plus tax fees). The Premium Room Offer is one night in a Go Mini Suite or renovated Premium Room for $75.

The spa’s new Sparkling Diamond Body Polish (75 minutes, $185 plus tax and fees) includes a whipped-sugar body scrub and a moisturizing body butter massage.

The Forever Fabulous Vow Renewal package (starting at $750 plus tax and fees) includes a 12-rose bouquet, photography, music, six cupcakes, Champagne and toasting glasses. The Flamingo currently stages “Piff the Magic Dragon,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” and “X Burlesque.” Wayne Newton is expected to announce a limited engagement there soon.

Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel and Meyer Lansky opened the Flamingo Hotel in 1946. Their legacy is celebrated at Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse, where guests are transported to the Prohibition era by entering a bakery facade and passing the kitchen and a meat cooler.
