Jamaica gains airlift from Texas and Florida: Travel Weekly

Jamaica will welcome new nonstop service from Austin, Texas, to Montego Bay on American Airlines starting June 4.

“This new service complements the carrier’s existing service out of Dallas/Fort Worth and offers another option for our travelers,” said Donovan White, Jamaica’s director of tourism.

American will operate the Saturday flights utilizing a 76-seat Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft. The carrier has served Jamaica for 45 years and offers multiple nonstops to Jamaica from major U.S. hubs.

In addition, Frontier will launch nonstop, year-round service from Miami to Kingston with three flights a week, beginning May 5.

This will be the carrier’s first service into Kingston; Frontier already serves Montego Bay from Miami, Atlanta, Orlando and Newark.
