JetBlue adds second N.Y.-Grenada flight in August
JetBlue will add a second daily, nonstop flight from New York JFK to Grenada’s Maurice Bishop Airport for the month of August.
From Aug. 1 to Sept. 1, the flight will leave JFK at 9:50 p.m. and arrive in Grenada at 2:47 a.m. Returning flights depart at 5:01 a.m. and arrive at JFK at 9:47 a.m. Service will be aboard a 162-seat A320.
JetBlue currently offers daily nonstop service from New York and will increase capacity on that flight from an A320 to a 200-seat A321 for
the summer peak period of June 15 to Sept. 5. The increase
coincides with the island’s Spicemas carnival, which runs Aug. 1 to 15.
“JetBlue has always been a committed partner, and we expect a surge in bookings, as this service allows the destination and our stakeholders the opportunity to welcome even more visitors for Spicemas and showcase how Grenada honors its culture and why we’re truly the spice isle of the Caribbean,” said Lennox Andrews, minister of Economic Development, Planning, Tourism and ICT, Creative Economy, Agriculture and Lands, Fisheries and Cooperatives.
