Maui Ocean Center debuts native plants tour

Guests of the Maui Ocean Center, The Aquarium of Hawaii can take part in a new tour devoted to native plants and their role in Hawaiian culture. Led by a marine naturalist, the Hawaiian Culture & Plant Tour will have guests scenting plants’ subtle fragrances, learning their Hawaiian names and how they are used in Hawaiian culture. 

“Expect to use all of your senses during this informative and interactive tour that showcases the beauty of Hawaiian culture,” said Maui Ocean Center general manager Tapani Vuori.

The price is $34.99 per person, and tours are 90 minutes long and offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
