Renaissance Curacao courts families with summer discounts

Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino launched a summer program for families traveling with kids up to age 12 that includes perks and discounts at the resort and on the island.

Kids not only stay and eat for free from the kids’ menu, but they will be treated royally from arrival to departure.

It all begins with a signature welcome amenity in the room, followed by a raft of discounts at places like the Dolphin Encounter child program, island tours operated by Irie Tours, Safari Tour and Brunch for the family at the Ostrich Farm, the Children’s Museum Curacao for both kids and adults, and Dundu Tours.

Then there’s a free ice cream at Infinity Beach Club, salty popcorn at The Movies Otrobanda, a discount on a spa treatment for the whole family at Natural Blends Esthetics, a special kids’ price of $5.50 for Paint A Sculpture at Chichi Curacao and 10% off at Starbucks.

The promotion is limited to two kids per family and is available through Sept. 30.

The 237-room resort features the Infinity Beach Club, a — literally — elevated beach experience on the second level of the property that includes an ocean-water swimming area, a white sand beach, palm trees and ocean views.

Adjacent to the resort is the Rif Fort, a Unesco World Heritage site.

The Renaissance Curacao follows enhanced health and safety protocols per local health authorities and Marriott’s “Commitment to Clean” promise.

Standard rates for a queen room (four people) start at $152 per night, plus tax and service fees. Long-stay rates of seven or more nights start at $141 per night, plus tax and service.
