Turks and Caicos again updates Covid rules for travelers

The Turks and Caicos has updated its entry regulations for the second time in four days. The new protocols take effect Sept. 1.

Three more vaccines will be accepted in addition to Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca. These are Comirnaty, Spikevax and Vaxzevria.

Most Caribbean islands are open to tourism. Here is the latest information on entry requirements.

Proof of vaccination in the form of a digital copy or paper copy, inclusive of vaccine cards issued by the CDC, will be accepted.

An earlier announcement had stipulated that vaccination proof had to be printed from an electronic vaccination data base or through a letter signed by a medical physician or registered nurse.

Regulations still in place stipulate that all visitors 16 and over must be fully vaccinated and all visitors must submit proof of a Covid-19 negative test result taken within three days of travel as well as proof of medical/travel insurance that covers medical evacuation.

All information must be uploaded to the TCI Assured portal in advance of arrival.

Any traveler testing positive prior to departing the Turks and Caicos must quarantine for 10 days at his own expense and undergo a Covid-19 test on day 7 prior to release.
