Viva Wyndham V Heavens is now family-friendly
The Viva Wyndham V Heavens in Puerto Plata’s Playa Dorada complex in the Dominican Republic, has changed from an adults-only, all-inclusive resort to one that welcomes guests of all ages.
“After seven years, and given the feedback we’ve received from guests hoping for a more all-inclusive experience, we decided it was time for a change,” said Amanda Santana, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Viva Wyndham Resorts.
The property is now offering All Together Suites, designed for families with up to five members. It’s also highlighting its family-dining options, a new Kid’s Club and family-oriented entertainment.
The five All Together Suites are located on the ground floor and each have one king-size bed, two twins and a sofa bed. The new Kid’s Club offers daily, scheduled activities such as beach volleyball, sandcastle building, face painting, pool games, windsurfing and tennis. All activities are divided into age-appropriate groups for kids age 4 to 12 and are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In conjunction with the all-ages change, the resort has a Kids Stay Free promotion that applies to children age 12 and younger (maximum two kids per room). Bookings must be made by June 30 for travel by Oct. 31.
Family dining is available at the buffet restaurant and three a la carte restaurants.
The 190-room resort is part of the Viva Wyndham Resorts collection of all-inclusive properties. There also locations in Mexico and Bahamas.
