Alaska Airlines offers discount to new Flight Pass subscribers
Alaska Airlines is marking the one-year anniversary of its Flight Pass by offering new subscribers a 20% discount for the first three months if they register by March 8.
The Flight Pass service offers nonstop flights throughout California plus Phoenix, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Alaska said the most option is the $49-per-month service that includes six roundtrip flights a year. Flight Pass holders pay no change fees.
Alaska said its subscription service exceeded first-year projections, which prompted the expansion of the program last fall to a fourth state, Utah, without increasing its monthly price.
Alaska said millennial and Generation X flyers make up the majority of subscribers and that Gen Z subscribers are proportionally growing more than any other age group.
The majority of subscribers reside in Northern California, Alaska said, and subscribers fly mostly from San Francisco, San Diego and San Jose.
