Avelo Airlines will make Las Vegas its sixth base
Avelo Airlines will open a Las Vegas base in September in conjunction with the launch of four Las Vegas routes.
The discount airline will add twice-weekly Las Vegas service from Brownsville, Texas, and Eureka/Arcata, Calif., on Sept. 8.
In addition, Avelo will launch twice-weekly service to Las Vegas from Redmond, Oregon, on Sept. 7 and Dubuque, Iowa, on Sept. 13. The carrier will be the lone operator on all of those city pairs.
The discount carrier already serves Las Vegas twice weekly from Santa Rosa, Calif., and Avelo will double that service to four times per week on Sept. 8.
Avelo will initially base a solitary Boeing 737-7 at Harry Reid International Airport. Las Vegas will be the airline’s sixth base, joining Burbank, Calif.; New Haven, Connecticut; Wilmington, Delaware; Orlando; and Raleigh-Durham, N.C.
Avelo flies 15 Boeing 737s and is serving 44 destinations. The airline launched in April 2021.
