British Airways flying to Portland

British Airways will make Portland, Oregon, its 27th U.S
destination next June.

BA will fly five times per week between Portland and London
Heathrow, starting June 1. The service will be the lone year-round route
between Oregon’s biggest city and the U.K. Delta has been flying
Portland-Heathrow seasonally since 2017.

BA will operate the route with joint venture partner
American Airlines, using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with business, premium economy
and economy classes.

Meanwhile, United will launch a new West Coast route to Ireland,
flying daily San Francisco-Dublin service starting June 5. San Francisco will
be United’s fourth destination from Dublin, joining three other United hubs:
Washington Dulles, Newark and Chicago O’Hare.

United will compete against Aer Lingus on the route and will
operate the flights with the 787-8 Dreamliner.
