Delta Air Lines computer system outage delays flights across USA

A computer issue at Delta Air Lines Tuesday evening is grounding flights across the country.

Responding to one passenger’s question on Twitter, the airline confirmed the technical issues are system-wide, with domestic flights on a “ground stop.”

International flights are still going, the tweet read.

The airline is fielding customer complaints via the Delta Twitter account, asking for passengers to remain patient and contact them again with the next hour, as of 7:45 p.m. Central time.

“I suggest you reach back again in about an hour when our system should be back up and we will be able to assist you,” read one of the many replies to passengers inquiring about the status of their flights.

The full extent of the computer outage has not been determined just yet.
