Delta, Virgin Atlantic moving back into London Heathrow's Terminal 3

Delta and joint-venture partner Virgin Atlantic will resume operations in Terminal 3 of London Heathrow Airport on Thursday.

Both carriers have been operating from Terminal 2 for more than a year because Heathrow consolidated all operations into terminals 2 and 5 during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Delta is currently flying to Heathrow from New York JFK and Atlanta. Virgin Atlantic is serving Atlanta, Boston, New York, Miami and Los Angeles.

The carriers’ move back into Terminal 3 will also enable Virgin Atlantic to reopen its Heathrow Clubhouse and Revivals lounges.

Delta and Virgin Atlantic will be the first carriers to resume flying out of Heathrow’s Terminal 3. Other airlines will return to the terminal in phases, the airport said. American is also among the 20 carriers that operated from that terminal prior to the pandemic.

The U.S. and U.K. continue to block most leisure travel between the two countries.
