Japan Airlines is integrating New Distribution Capability content into the Amadeus Selling Platform, which will make JAL’s NDC content available to travel sellers using the platform.
JAL, which last year signed an extended distribution and IT agreement with Amadeus, aims to leverage NDC “to differentiate our travel offers based on value rather than just price,” according to JAL executive officer in the passenger sales division Yoriyuki Kashiwagi.
JAL also is joining Amadeus’ NDC-X program, which brings airlines and travel sellers together to test and refine uses of NDC.
