Alabama

Birmingham, Alabama, is hosting its Thunder on the Mountain fireworks display, which will take place come rain or shine.

The fireworks will start at 9 p.m., with an accompanying soundtrack featuring James Brown and Neil Diamond playing on iHeart local radio stations.

A huge number of events take place in Anchorage, Alaska, on July 4, including a major fireworks display.

The music, craft and food festival begins on July 4 and lasts until July 8. Fireworks take place as the sun sets on the first day of the festival.

The display is preceded by two local baseball games before the fireworks start over Mulcahy Stadium from 11 p.m.

The Celebrate America 2021 at Lake Pleasant in Phoenix, Arizona, is more than just a fireworks display.

There will be children’s entertainment, food trucks and even water slides throughout July 3 until fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

Pops on the River is one of the biggest events of the year in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The family event begins at 3 p.m. before an orchestra and local acts perform.

In San Diego, California, the Big Bay Boom will see four barges loaded with fireworks.

The display will begin at 9 p.m. and can be seen from various locations over the city.

Organizers are inviting those with boats to sail them for a special view, and those at home can watch it broadcast on their TVs.

The usual fireworks in Denver, Colorado, will not take place as usual, however there will be a big firework display over Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park.

The park will be open as usual before its closure, after which it will be lit up with the display.

The Brass Mill Center in Waterbury, Connecticut, is hosting a day of food and fireworks at the Food Truck & Fireworks Extravaganza.

The fireworks themselves start at around 9 p.m., with the event as a whole beginning just after lunch at 2 p.m.

At Rehoboth Beach in the state of Delaware, fireworks will take place on July 3 close to Rehoboth Avenue.

The fireworks will be visible along the beach and will start from 9:30 p.m. after performances beginning on the bandstand at 8 p.m.

The annual celebrations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will have the Beach Boys performing at a show by the seaside.

Though there will be no food and drink sold at the event, locals can bring blankets and drinks to watch the show.

In Chicago, Illinois, the traditional Navy Pier fireworks have been canceled.

However, there will still be a display to enjoy at the local Lions Club’s Annual Fourth of July Festival, near Mount Prospect.

In West Des Moines, Iowa, annual fireworks events are coming back to town.

The parade will be on July 3 before dusk on July 4, usually around 9:30 p.m., fireworks will be set off from West Des Moines City/School Campus.

In downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, a massive fireworks display will begin, launching off of the top of one of the tallest buildings in the area.

The 21-minute display will be accompanied by music aired by local radio stations, kicking off at 10 p.m. on July 4.

At Kansas City RiverFest, there will be entertainment and food vendors galore, before the fireworks take place.

The annual Louisville, Kentucky, fireworks were canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus, meaning they will be more anticipated this year.

The 75th annual fireworks celebration is taking place in the St Cloud Area in Minnesota.

The fireworks start at 10 p.m. and can be seen down the Mississippi River, which runs through the city.

In Biloxi, Mississippi, the fireworks will take place from 9 p.m. on July 4.

The fireworks will be shot from a barge near Deer Island, and last for approximately 18 minutes.

St Louis, Missouri, is celebrating with the 40th Annual Fireworks Spectacular.

Along with food vendors, performances and entertainment, the fireworks will amaze with a record number of 3,000 shells.

In Butte, Montana, celebrates with the Big Bang firework show, which follows a parade taking place throughout the weekend.

The Butte America Foundation is the event host alongside local radio stations, who will be playing music to get locals in the mood for festivities.

The Big Band Boom festival in Norfolk, Nebraska, will continue over two days, culminating in a big fireworks display on July 3.

In Concord, New Hampshire, the annual fireworks display is back. However, it will be pared back due to the coronavirus.

There will be no food trucks and vendors, but the fireworks will take place at Leary Field from 9 p.m.

New Jersey

Jersey City hosts the Freedom and Fireworks event each year, but in 2021 it will be scaled back due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The two sets of fireworks will launch from the Hudson River, meaning there will be spectacular views for onlookers.

There will be musical performances and famous faces taking to the stage in the city before the fireworks impress those watching both in person at home.

Outside the North Dakota State Capitol, the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra plays their spectacular followed by fireworks.

The orchestra plays from 9 p.m. after support acts open the show from 7:45 p.m., and fireworks round off the show.

This year, the orchestra will play with 76 trombones, so keen brass players can join them by contacting them first via email.

In Cleveland, Ohio, the Light Up The Lake fireworks display will take place between 8 p.m. and midnight on July 4—whenever the light is perfect for pyrotechnics.

There are viewing spots all over Downton Cleveland, with the fireworks lighting up the space above Lake Erie.

FreedomFest is the place to see big fireworks in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which will take place from the 21st Street Bridge.

It is expected that 800,000 people will be able to see the fireworks across the city, but for those at home wanting to tune in, it will be broadcast on KTUL Tulsa’s News Channel 8.

The fireworks themselves and the live coverage both begin at 10 p.m.

In St. Helens, Oregon, the Let Freedom Bells Ring celebration takes place on July 4.

At Wawa Welcome America, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 16 days of events that started on Juneteenth culminate with a massive firework display.

A concert starts at 7 p.m. before the display starts later in the evening over the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Charleston, South Carolina, will be open over the weekend, and from 6 p.m. there will be local musicians performing and food trucks.

As may be expected in Nashville, Tennessee, famed country singers are taking to the stage for a big show complete with fireworks.

Brad Paisley will be headlining the Let Freedom Sing show, which kicks off at 4 p.m. before he performs in the early evening.

The Nashville Symphony will accompany the fireworks themselves, which will start after Paisley’s set, covering the scenic Cumberland River with light.

While the annual Independence Day festival will not be taking place in Houston, Texas, the Shell Freedom Over Texas celebration will take place instead.

There will be a concert from Lee Brice and Jimmie Allen, and a major fireworks display will be visible in open spaces around the downtown area.

In 2020 the Green Bay’s Fire Over The Fox festival was canceled, but it will return for 2021, albeit in a slightly truncated fashion.

The small town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, makes a big deal of the July 4 celebrations.

The Grand Teton Music Festival starts at 4 p.m. with a family concert before other acts take to the stage.
