A new columnist starts 'Journeys'
Travel Weekly this week debuts a new column, “Journeys,” written by travel advisor Nadia “Sparkle” Henry.
Her column will run bimonthly and focus on “journeys” from the perspective of an active travel advisor, referring to both destination-focused travel and the journey of operating and growing a travel agency.
Henry, who goes by Nadia Sparkle in the travel industry, is the owner of Travel with Sparkle, an award-winning, lifestyle travel agency that specializes in luxury and international group travel. She curates off-the-beaten-path group excursions for her clients, known as her “sparklers.”
“Sparkle stood out as a someone with a strong, original voice that will bring fresh perspectives and insights to Travel Weekly’s readers,” said editor in chief Arnie Weissmann.
Henry is also an industry speaker and winner of the TravelAge West Trendsetter Award for Best Group Booking Effort. She has created and will soon launch the 6-Figure Travel Academy, an extension of her travel brand that will teach agency owners how to attain their own level of success, and will serve as a mentor within the program. She is a member of Travel Allies Society, serving on its humanitarian committee.
“Journeys” joins senior contributing editor Richard Turen’s “Reality Check” column and staff-written columns by senior editors Jamie Biesiada, Christina Jelski and Robert Silk.
