Benidorm lad spills resort secrets – 88p pints, £2 fry-ups and boozing for free

Two lads who visit Benidorm multiple times a year have shared how they manage to do it mind-blowingly cheaply.
Grumet and Dazza are “like celebs” in the Spanish seaside town thanks to their funny TikTok videos, @grumet_benidorm and habit of getting into silly situations.
Grumet, as he prefers to be known, has a whopping 136,000 followers on the video site and another 10,000 over on Instagram, @grumettt.

The duo say they love to head to Benidorm because it’s just so “cheap”.
Speaking to Daily Star, Grumet said: “I can do a full week – accommodation, flights, food and drink for under £250. I go with the family in the summer, but in the winter it’s cheap to get over there so all the lads just go. You can get return flights for about £30.”
During the day Grumet and Dazza “go for walks” and film their viral videos.
Some of the antics they get up to include trying food challenges around town – including the Uncle Ron’s Big Benidorm Breakfast.
Dazza, who has thousands of fans on Facebook, wasn’t fazed by the plate which has 12 slices of toast, four sausages, four hash browns, a pile of bacon, five fried tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and a whopping five fried eggs.
You’re supposed to finish in 20 minutes to complete the challenge, but the unfortunate lad took 23 to put his knife and fork together after ‘struggling” towards the end.
They also play pranks on holidaymakers and locals alike while on the beach and the strip – all in good fun as fellow Brits cackle along with them.
The duo have experienced their fair share of Benidorm oddness too from being left with a local's dog for two hours to finding six random blokes in their hotel room.
Thankfully, Grumet says that food and drink is so cheap over in the Spanish resort town that you’ll have fun no matter what – and you're unlikely to spend a fortune even if you try.
He explained: “You can get a Full English fry up for £2.50 at Uncle Ron’s and Auntie Bella’s Yorkshire Pride. If you want steak it’s only about £6.”
However, it’s when night rolls around that you make the real savings compared to a clubbing holiday almost anywhere else in the world.
Grumet explained: “You can get pints for 80p from Uncle Ped’s and Cafe Benidorm. It costs more for a cup of tea than it does for a pint of lager. You can get a glass of vodka for like 3.50euros.”
Indeed, in some of the duo’s videos they show the cheapest finds they’ve discovered while out in Benidorm.
On Dazza’s account, @dazza_bigdogbenidorm, he shows pints of Amstel and Fosters for just €1 – that’s 88p.
Meanwhile a bottle of Heineken and Sol cost the equivalent of £1.32.
Dazza also uncovered shots for just £1.76 each, Jagerbombs for £4.41 and buckets that have five pints each inside for just £5.20.
Considering the average cost of a pint in London is £5.99 that’s a mega bargain.
You can even buy a pint of vodka red bull for just £4.41 alongside popular cocktails.
But, Grumet claims there’s one sneaky way of enjoying your night in Benidorm without spending a penny.
He explained: “Every bar will offer you something for free.
“Just hold out normally and you can get drunk because there’s people standing outside the bars saying ‘come in, free drinks, free drinks.’
“So get a free drink, you come back out, go in the next one and get another free drink.
“You just keep going to the next one along and you can get drunk for nowt.”
