1. Sandbanks, Dorset

Sandbanks is considered to be one of Britain’s best beaches with its golden sands and jaw-dropping views.
The beach has also been a Blue Flag award-winner for more than 30 years – and it’s easy to see why. Views of Poole Harbour, Studland, Old Harry Rocks and even the Isle of Wight are spectacular.
Jazz Cafe, located on Shore Road, is the perfect spot to warm up and enjoy a decadent hot chocolate after a brisk walk on along the golden sands.
Dogs are also allowed on the beach from October 1 to April 30.
2. Fraisthorpe, Yorkshire
Located near Bridlington in the East Riding area of Yorkshire, Fraisthorpe Beach is a scenic, quiet spot that’s perfect for a winter walk with your pooch.
The beach is backed by low cliffs which are more accessible the further along you walk.
Unlike other British beaches, Fraisthorpe is completely flat and stretches for miles down to the Humber Estuary.

In the winter months, you might spot people horse riding across the flat sands.
3. Walberswick, Suffolk
This beach is located on the south bank of the River Blyth and is a wild spot with stretches of both sand and shingles along with marsh and heathland.
The beach is listed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is definitely worth a visit in the winter months.
Visitors who want a proper stroll can enjoy the Suffolk Coast Path that stretches 50 miles along the east coast.
4. Loe Bar, Cornwall
The largest lake in Cornwall is 50 hectares in size and is surrounded by wildlife and stunning views.
The lake is separated from the Celtic Sea by a sand bar and a slider of beach that’s known as Loe Bar.
While small, the half-mile sand and shingle bank will not disappoint and is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The beach is dog-friendly throughout the year and is a popular spot for walkers and cyclists.
5. Horsey, Norfolk
If you’re looking for a quieter spot, Horsey Beach is the perfect alternative.
The beach is often home to thousands of seals making it the ideal spot for seal-watching. However, you should avoid the beach during the seal-mating season.
The beach has attractive pale sands and is dog-friendly although it’s advised not to take your pooches when seals are mating.
Those looking for a long walk can enjoy a six-mile loop walk around the village of Horsey in the north-east of the Norfolk Broads National Park.
