‘Breathtaking’ beach is one of the UK’s best seaside spots for summer
While Cornwall normally gets the most attention for its beaches, Wales’ coastline is packed with beautiful beaches which are much quieter.
According to Tripadvisor’s ranking, Barafundle Beach in Stackpole, Pembrokeshire is Wales’s second best beach.
The small, almost tropical-looking bay, is backed by dunes and pine trees and has been compared to the Caribbean.
With golden sand and crystal clear water, this beautiful beach could be the perfect place to enjoy the summer.
The beach has previously been crowned ‘the best beach in Britain’ and has received the Green Coast Award.
One tourist ‘TawnyOwl’ wrote: “Absolutely breathtaking place! It’s like being abroad, clear water, white sand!”
‘Mohammed U’ said: “Once there, it’s like you’re in the Med. Just amazing, the beach is clean and never seems to get busy.”
‘BreconBeacons70’ said: “Lovely bay, with stunning views. Quite a magical experience. Beautiful bay.”

Visitors should be aware that the beach is a half mile walk from the nearest car park and there are no facilities.
Tourists will need to take everything with them when they go but this helps to keep the beach pristine and isolated.
Visit Pembrokeshire also advises tourists to check the tides before visiting to make sure there’s enough beach to play on.
