British Airways cancels 32 flights a day over Easter ahead of Heathrow strikes
Holidaymakers could be thrown into disarray this Easter as British Airways is cancelling hundreds of flights to and from Heathrow.
Around 32 flights a day have been taken from the timetable by the airline in response to a 10-day strike by 1,400 Heathrow security workers, reports the BBC.
Those in the Unite union have agreed the walk out in response to disputes over pay.

Unfortunately, with the strike due to take place from March 31 until April 9 it’s likely that those jetting off for Easter may be affected.
If your flight is cancelled, British Airways will offer a number of options to remedy the situation.
Heathrow Airport chains contingency plans are in place so it can “operate as normal” during the walkout.
BA has cancelled the flights on the instruction of the airport to reduce its schedule by 5%.
The airline has also stopped selling tickets for the affected dates.
In a statement, the airline said: "We've regrettably had to make a small number of adjustments to our schedule.
"We've apologised to customers whose travel plans have been affected and have offered them a range of options, including rebooking onto a new flight with us or another airline, or requesting a full refund."
A Heathrow spokesperson told BBC: "We will not let these unnecessary strikes impact the hard-earned holidays of our passengers."
Around 1000 extra staff members will be in place at Heathrow during the walkout.
The airport states that it has offered workers a 10% pay rise.
If your flight is cancelled there are rules in place to help you. Anyone whose BA flight has been terminated you are entitled to either a full refund – including on flights from the airline that you can’t make due to the cancellation.
Alternatively, you can ask for a replacement flight to get you to your destination.
You can ask for either of these options from the airline at the airport or by contacting them.
If you were notified less than two weeks before your flight of the change and will be delayed by two or more hours by the replacement flight you may be entitled to additional compensation.
