Brits are asking if their passports are still valid now the Queen has died
The Queen tragically passed away age 96, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Thursday evening.
The palace issued a statement which read: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."
Britain has entered a period of mourning, and there will be plenty of changes coming including changes to money, postboxes and stamps.

Amidst those changes, a number of people have been taking to social media, to question whether British passports will still be valid now that the Queen has passed away.
If you check your UK passport, it states: "Her Britannic Majesty's Secretary of State requests and requires in the name of Her Majesty all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance and to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary.”
As it states that you can travel under the name of Her Majesty, some users have been confused as to whether passports will be valid.
One Twitter user wrote: "Now that the Queen is gone, does this mean we need to update our passport? It says we're under the protection of "her" Majesty on the front page. Asking for a friend."
Another asked: "With the death of the Queen, are passports still valid or will they have to get changed?"
British passports are still valid following the death of Her Majesty.
As King Charles III takes to the throne, it's likely that new passports issued will be tweaked to reflect the male pronouns of the new King.
For those who have passports still within date, it's likely that these will only need to be updated once they have expired.
When travelling overseas, The Queen did not require a British passport, as it was issued in her name – this will likely be the same for King Charles III.
All other members of the Royal Family will require passports.
