Cabin crew share the perks passengers can get from free noodles to birthday cake

There are lots of airlines in the world that target different countries, cost levels and levels of service.

If you want to hop over for a budget friendly break in Europe you might hit up the Ryanair sale or grab an easyJet offer, while Brits flying to the United States often pay a little extra for Virgin Atlantic or British Airways.

But, if you’re heading further east there are hundreds of airlines that service the different countries in Asia – with Singapore Airlines being one of the most popular.

The boujie carrier has been praised in recent years for having superior food and comfier seats.

But, a TikTok creator has revealed there are lots of extra perks you can bag on Singapore Airlines too.

The former flight attendant, Wong Sheau Qian, who posts on the account @geiwosushi, went viral for revealing the hidden bonuses included on a Singapore flight.

Cocktails and birthday cake

According to the flight attendant there’s a huge menu on board SA flights and you can request some special items.

She noted: ‘"There is brandy, bourbon, whiskey, vodka, gin, rum, beer.”

This means cocktails like Bloody Marys and Screwdrivers can made on request!

Plus, there are exotic juices available and apparently they’ll even cook you a birthday cake to have on-board if you put it in your special requests – although they won't be able to bake it during the flight of course.

Special requests

On top of extra requests you can also request from the special meal items.

These include everything from “Indian Vegetarian” to “low Calorie” and “low lactose” meals.

Apparently they’re delicious – and Wong says you’ll be served first if you ask for them.

Free snacks

If you’re still peckish after you’ve eaten there are a bunch of extra treats available on Singapore airlines – apparently for free.

Wong highlighted the availability of ramen noodles and biscuits on short flights while longer haul flights also offer muffins and cereal bars.

Comfort items

Wong explained that there are lots of extra bits and pieces the staff hand out if you ask for them.

She said: "There are earplugs, eye masks, dental kits, combs, shavers, sanitary pads, socks (for flights above 7 hours only), playing cards, writing pads, pens, children amenities, children headsets.

“There are also sewing kits and nail files.”

So you don’t need to worry if you’ve forgotten something (except your passport).

But she warned: “Those mentioned are also subjected to availability as there are limited quantities being catered. So please request only if you need them.”
