Disney’s theme park castles are set up so it’s impossible to get a bad photo

Going to Disneyland is magical whether it’s a once-in-a-lifetime trip or you’re a Disney mega fan who visits annually.

The parks are full of thrilling rollercoasters, delicious food and, of course, all of your favourite characters.

Plus, there’s nothing quite like entering the gates and spotting the Sleeping Beauty castle ahead of you.

Kids and adults all love the magical parks that bring your favourite films to life.

But, if you’re a big fan of Disneyland then you might know that there are plenty of hidden secrets around the venue for guests to discover.

You might notice some unusual design choices at Disneyland Paris – such as the coffee cup billboard outside of The Coffee Grinder shop letting out Real steam.

Or, the fact that if you pick up a phone in one of the Main Street shops you’ll be able to hear other people’s conversations!

However, one of our favourite quirky facts about Disney parks – from DisneyWorld Orlando to Disneyland Paris is that it’s impossible to take a bad photo outside of the castle.

Insiders over at AttractionTickets.com explained: "All the castles at Disney parks are designed to face south so the sun can never ruin your photo.

"Whether you go at golden hour or early hours of the morning, you don’t have to be a professional to get the perfect photo."

As the castles are designed this way your snaps won’t be ruined by the run blinking out from behind the castle.

It also won’t shine in your eyes as you’re trying to smile!

The Disneyland Paris castle has plenty of extra fun quirks too.

For example, the colours of this particular palace are different from those in the US.

The pink and blue of the castle were chosen to purposefully contrast with the often grey skies of the French region.

Plus, they reflect Sleeping Beauty’s magically changing dress.

In addition to this, you may notice lots of small, golden bumps up and down the castle.

These are not simply random decor, but actually tiny gold snails!

They were chosen as a subtle nod to French culture, with escargots (cooked snails) being a much beloved French delicacy.
