Epic bus journey between the UK and India takes you through 18 countries

Brits who fancy travelling the world but who hate long-haul flights may be surprised to know that you can catch a bus service from London… to Delhi.

An epic bus route by Adventures Overland takes passengers all the way from the UK capital to sunny India journeying through 18 countries on the way.

The London to Delhi bus crosses 20,000km in a whopping 70 days.

And, holidaymakers will get to see some incredible sights during the journey.

The comfortable and “luxurious” bus stops off in Belgium, Germany, Poland, Russia and even further afield.

Once the route leaves Europe, passengers will get to see Kazakhstan, China, Myanmar Laos and Thailand among other countries.

The Bus to London website stated: “As part of the journey, you will explore thousands of pagodas in Myanmar, meet rare species of Giant Pandas in Chengdu, hike the Great Wall of China, visit the historic cities of Bukhara, Tashkent & Samarkand in Uzbekistan, and cruise on the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan.

“You will unwind in historic European cities such as Moscow, Vilnius, Prague, Brussels and Frankfurt before concluding the journey in London.”

As part of one of the longest bus excursions in the world it’s the perfect holiday for keen road-trippers.

Adventures Overland's founders, Sanjay Madan and Tushar Agarwal, know a thing or two about epic journeys, reports the Mirror.

As a team, they hold a Guinness World Record and 15 Limca Book of Records for long-distance driving expeditions.

Tushar Agarwal explained: "Every single route in each country has been vetted to ensure that the journey is seamless. We take charge of documentation and permits to ensure that the entire focus of participants is on experiencing the journey.

"We ensure an experienced English speaking local guide is travelling with the group at all hours to ensure personal safety, smooth communication and travel.

"The bus on this epic journey is being customised to add all the necessities, comforts and luxuries which will ensure that participants travel in the lap of luxury all the way from the UK to India."

The bus itself looks pretty swanky too, with concept imagery showing that Brits will be travelling in style with spacious seating and heaps of on-board amenities.

Sanjay Madan said: "We share a common love for travel, and now we are thrilled to introduce the first bus service from London all the way to New Delhi with utmost comfort and luxury.

Adventures Overland hasn’t stopped there either as you can also catch a bus from India to Singapore.

The journey travels through five countries and takes 20 days.

Passengers will stop off in Burma, Bangkok and Malaysia on the way.
