Family mocked after being seen wheeling at airport like Wall-E in ‘hovershoes’
This is a bizarre moment a family casually strolling around an airport with their "hovershoes" as viewers joked they are giving a "Wall-E" vibe.
The family of five was spotted wearing the latest "travel gadget" – the Ninebot Electric Roller Skates Hovershoes designed by tech company Segway – at an US airport as stunned travellers watched on.
Flight attendant Jamie found the moment hilarious and shared it on TikTok, sparking discussions on the two-wheeled invention.
In the video, the family members are seen standing on the hoverboard-like shoes outside a Starbucks coffee shop and one of them drifts her way to the nearby bin to throw away her coffee cup.
In the subsequent clip, the family members are seen tilting forward and backward while trying to balance themselves on the "shoes".
When they are about to head to their boarding gate, Jamie says they just "all wheeled away casually".
One passing-by woman stops and stares at the strange looking gadget under their shoes.
Some viewers found the £369 walking accessories "awesome" and useful especially when strolling through an airport.
