Google Maps Street View: ‘Batmobile’ spotted in festive Christmas real life movie scene

Google Maps user finds a bizarre hexagon on coastline

Google Maps Street View was developed in 2007 as a way for users to get a street-level look at locations around the world. Increasingly, however, users are discovering another use for the online app.

The online tool, which uses 3D cameras to snap pictures of the world into a virtual world, also has the ability to uncover some rather odd global happenings.

In a festive twist, one user saw the moment two movie worlds came together.

The scene unfolded on a street in Cleveland, Ohio, in the US.

Though the image was snapped in September 2018, according to Google, there is a somewhat of a Christmas theme.

This is because the moment happens directly in front of the house which was featured in the 1983 film “A Christmas Story”.

The pastel yellow and mint green home is home to visitors throughout the year who can go along and experience the setting in real life.

The house is open year-round between certain hours and is said to feature many of the rooms from the film.

It also features a gift shop where guests can purchase memorabilia from the movie.

However, the mere fact Google’s cameras snapped the house on Street View is not the reason to double-take at this scene.

What makes this moment more remarkable is the fact it seems two pieces of movie magic have come to life.

Indeed, parked directly in front of the famous house is a very famous car.

Jet black with red detailing and bat appliqués along the door on and the wheels is the Batmobile.

The Batmobile is the famous car featured in the Batman comic books, television shows and movies.

It is said to be owned by the superhero himself and often helps him zoom around on his adventures.

Of course, the chances of seeing it off-screen and in the real world are particularly slim.

Stood beside the slick vehicle are two people who seem to have paid the house a visit that day.

The male, stood to the rear of the vehicle, is dressed in a black T-shirt with the Batman emblem on the front.

Could it be this is Batman himself coming to pay tribute to Christmas?

More likely, these are two film fanatics, by the looks of things, who have helped to create a very eye-catching Google Maps moment.

Due to Google’s privacy policy, the two people snapped beside the car have their face blurred.

This means their identities are concluded, so perhaps onlookers will never know the real story behind the bizarre moment.
