Google Maps Street View was developed in 2007 as a way for users to get an on-the-ground look at locations around the world. Along the way, Google Maps cameras often snap unusual situations unfolding.

Often, these are situations which perhaps the people involved in did not expect to be caught on camera.

However, in other moments the people in the images are all too aware of the camera’s presence and even set up scenes in order to garner attention.

Such appears to be the case for a group of construction workers in the UK.

The threesome has set up a hilarious scene which is most likely a prank for Google Maps.

The scene unfolds on what looks like a particularly sunny day.

On a residential street, two vans belonging to construction workers are parked up outside of a house.

Three of the workers are also present, in between the two vans.

Dressed in T-shirts and grubby looking trousers, the men have obviously been hard at work.

Two wheelbarrows can be seen abandoned in front of the residence.

It seems they have taken a break to put on a show for the Google camera.

One of the men, dressed in a blue T-shirt can be seen sprawled out the ground, his arms splayed outwards.

He looks as though he is passed out.

Meanwhile, a second man dressed in a white T-shirt and black joggers is holding a pickaxe above him.

It looks as though he is about to swing the tool down onto his friend.

The suggestion this is definitely a prank comes from the third man.

Dressed in a white T-shirt, the third builder is looking directly at the camera, proof he is aware of its presence.
